Who's recruiting: Green start-up creating jobs

Jobs at a new green manufacturing business and an expanding care provider is hoping to create hundreds of vacancies.
Manufacturing: The launch of a new green manufacturing business is expected to create 20 new jobs, reports the Sheffield Telegraph. R3 Products will manufacture products for the civil engineering and construction markets from mixed waste plastic. The start-up plans to employ 20 people in its first year with full production due to start in within months at a site in south Yorkshire.



Care: A north-east care provider is hoping to create hundreds of jobs over the next few years. Brain injury and neurological conditions specialist Neuro Partners is looking to extend its care provision to other regions. The company is also increasing its workforce in the north-east, where it currently employs around 100 out-of-office carers and 30 head office staff, reports nebusiness.co.uk. It hopes to employ an additional 100 staff in the region over the next two years.



Financial services: A Dublin-based financial services firm is taking on 60 new staff. Butterfield Fulcrum will be recruiting staff for new jobs in fund administration, finance and relationship management, reports the Irish Examiner.



Management: Retail giant Tesco is planning to bring 1,000 jobs to Reading by building a new regional food distribution depot. Among the jobs to be created by the new depot, if it is approved, would be 100 management jobs as well as drivers, mechanics, warehouse workers and maintenance staff. Building the depot would also create 150 construction jobs, reports Get Reading.



Retail: Asda is creating 42 new supermarket jobs after spending £2m to convert four former Netto stores in Greater Manchester. Store in Rochdale and Atherton will create 12 new jobs between them, while there will be 30 new jobs spread across two sites in Oldham, reports the Manchester Evening News.



Clinical: Pharmaceutical company MSD is creating 70 new jobs after investing €29 million in two new facilities at its plant in west Cork. Ten staff will be employed in measuring the biological effect of a test substance on a living cell at one of the new centres. Sixty staff will be taken on at another facility which will produce vaccines for clinical trials in immunisation against pneumococcal disease. The new recruits will initially work in the production, commissioning, qualification and clinical supply phases of the vaccine, reports the Irish Times.
